Making calls with Kapanga
To make or receive calls using either voice, video or fax just follow these steps:
Step 1. Configure Kapanga as described here.
Step 2. Run the Audio, Video and Network wizard. You can find this wizard by clicking on Configuration > Audio/Video/Network wizard. A screenshot is shown here.
Step 3. Place a call! Here's a brief description for each operation mode:
Voice. Once a call is established, the status screen will indicate success and you'll be able to hear the ringing and your party will pick up (unless voice mail kicks in). There's a timer in the upper right screen so that you can view the call's duration. To hang up press on the line button corresponding to the call (it will be colored in red).
Video. If either side has a working video feed, the video feed will start automatically. If both sides have video available your screen will display both feeds in "picture-in-picture" mode. If you're dealing with a particular video application that requires a bigger screen, you can select the K icon then View > Detach Video Screen. You'll be then able to resize the video screen as you wish.

Kapanga detects your video camera automatically
Fax. When sending a fax you can either select the file you'd like to send or you can automatically do so. Various settings for fax can be seen here. To mention a few, Kapanga supports Error Correcting Mode (ECM), high resolutions and data rates. If you want to receive a fax, just press the Fax button when you start listening to the fax signal.
