See you at NXTComm Chicago!

Monday, June 18th, 2007 by Martin Cadirola

We’ve been extremely busy with new Kapanga developments so today I’ll be traveling to Chicago to attend the NXTComm trade show. Looks like it’ll be a lot of fun, considering that the IP telephony market has been growing. If you happen to be there and would like to meet me, please send me an email to martin [at] kapanga [dot] net.

Friday, September 8th, 2006 by Martin Cadirola

I will be visiting a few friends at VON/Boston at the Boston Convention Center next week. It’ll be interesting to see how much activity will take place this year compared to 2005. I’ll keep you posted with the newest stuff going on. If you are interested in meeting with me, send me an email to support -at- kapanga -dot- net. Cheers, Martin

VoIP shows, Web 2.0 style?

Monday, August 14th, 2006 by Martin Cadirola

2006 will probably be remembered by all of us here at Kapanga HQ, as the one with the most active traveling across the U.S. (even Mexico). We’ve seen all sorts of formats and met with great people, many of them with great ideas.

As big fans of technology, we’ve been following what we think will be a growing trend in conferences, meet-ups, or get-togethers: smaller conferences organized by smaller organizations. These up-and-coming conferences are organized only a few months in advance and seem to be pretty successful at disseminating information and having great discussions. Most of these meet-ups are about Web 2.0 type discussions, i.e., talking about next-gen applications and services running on the Web.

Wouldn’t it be great to have something like this for our VoIP industry? My last impression at GlobalComm 2006 was that it was a great show and we had little time to meet and learn about all the great stuff exhibitors and presenters had to share.

What would be your favorite topic of discussion if you had such an event? Aside from the usual VON, TMCNET and GlobalComm shows, what other shows (happening anywhere in the world) do you attend and like the best?
