About Kapanga Softphone
Kapanga Softphone is developed by Ecotronics Ventures LLC, an engineering company based in the Washington DC area and established in the year 2000.
When we created Kapanga in 2005, the philosophy and goals we established then helped us evolve where we are today:
- Reliability. Kapanga is developed thoroughly from the ground up and successfully tested on a variety of VoIP infrastructure systems, from large telecommunication carriers to open source systems.
- Interoperability. Kapanga’s voice and video multi-codec capability makes it a great softphone capable of interacting with practically any existing VoIP systems and network impaired environments. Supported codecs include ITU and open source codecs. For a complete list of supported codecs, please click here.
- Flexibility. In addition to placing calls, sending and receiving faxes and establishing video calls, Kapanga enables users to record their voice and video communications. Kapanga also features three convenient independent lines, a fax answering machine and ring tone customization using MIDI files, and more.
- Simplicity. Kapanga’s easy-to-use interface makes it easy for any user, beginner or advanced, to configure and use the software, making it easy for newcomers to take full advantage of IP telephony technology.
